Friday night went out with Andy and Dani and a Canadian guy called Gavin who we met over dinner and a group of American students. Had an awesome time dancing like crazy people on the street. In the Foch Plaza they had 3 stages set up all playing different music, the place was rammed. I was surprised to bump into Javier, my brother from the homestay, it was cool to see him as well.
After that late night Dani and I were up early to get tickets for the last bull fight of the week. Having never been to a bull fight I wanted to understand what exactly goes on. It was interesting, I liked the atmosphere and the crowd and even the show quality of the event, it was quite like a dance, but after watching 7 bulls get slaughtered I definintely have seen enough for my life time. I don´t really see the point because i´m sure there are much better ways to have fun.

Saturday evening we went out again down to Amazonas Avenue to watch a huge parade which went on for about 1.5hrs. It was really good and there were tonnes of people watching. Dani and I stuck around afterwards, ate ice creams and watched fire works, drunk cocktails and then went back to plaza foch to listen to the bands and meet up with Dani´s friends. A good night.
Dani and Andy:
On Sunday, I had a very lazy start and really achieved nothing until mid afternoon when I realised it wasn´t going to rain for once. Dani and I headed into the old town for lunch - potato soup and ice creams. I then went to have a drink with Thomas and Mole from the Galapagos tour. It was good see them again. Mole was busy but Thomas, Dani and her friend Hannah and I all went out for a drink at a cafe really high up one of the mountains and had great views over all of Quito. Then we had a great Indian and called in a night.
