On Saturday Cindy and I left early for Otovalo which is a town north of Quito - about 2.5hrs by bus. It is famous for it´s market on Saturdays and has to be the biggest market I have ever seen. We were there all day and still didn´t see it all. I had to be restrained because of lack of space in my rucksack but Cindy went all out and bought loads. It was fun. Actually, I enjoyed the food the most - ice creams, fruit, maize and beans for lunch, doughnuts (we think) , sweetcorn etc etc... Here´s some photos:

After we had exhausted the market we got a taxi to the nearby waterfall. It was a good end to a good day!

This looks fabulous. The colours are so vibrant - you would need more than a rucksack though to fill with things !
