NZ - Coromandel Peninsula

We drove on from Auckland to Coromandel Peninsula and stopped in Tairua. For the afternoon we went for a walk and climbed Paku, which is a volcano and was a Maori pa site and has 360deg views over the area. Here are the views:

That evening we snuggled up and watched a rubbish girly movie with the other girls staying at our hostel. The next morning we went to the hot water beach. There are two strips of beach where when you dig a hole it fills with boiling hot water. We had some trouble finding an area to dig that wasn't too hot so in the end we jumped in a pool with two English guys, Jit and Row, who had been giving us some banter.

After showering off we walked to Cathedral cove which is a beach with a beautiful rock formation like a cathedral. Views on the walk:

From there we drove down to Roturoa.
