NZ - Wanaka
On Thursday we drove up to Mt. Aspiring National Park which is about an hours drive along a non secure road, through fords and in the middle of no where. We hiked the Rob Roy Valley trek which was about 3.5hrs in total and took us into the NP to a viewing point for the Rob Roy glacier. It was a good day weather wise and the walk was beautiful. Here's some pics:

The drive around lake Wanaka to get to the NP took us round some more beautiful sections than you get from Wanaka itsself:
although by the time we arrived back in Wanaka the clouds had cleared to reveal the snow capped mountains framing the lake:
On Friday we were really slow and faffed around the hostel most of the morning. In the afternoon we went to Puzzle World which was pretty good fun. We raced each other around the maze, slightly stressful, and then spent ages being defeated by puzzles in the cafe. Here's some pictures from the illusions room:
